Coach Louie has been immersed in MMA-related sports for his entire life, beginning with a strong foundation in both boxing and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. His Jiu Jitsu journey has been shaped entirely under Professor Ricardo “Pantcho” Feliciano, training with him for a total of 13 years. Over that time, he has built not only technical skill but also a deep passion and respect for the art.

Before joining Checkmat Menifee, Coach Louie spent a year and a half coaching at another local Checkmat academy. During this period, he discovered how much he truly enjoys teaching. His dedication to the sport—combined with the pride he takes in teaching his own children—naturally evolved into a coaching style that connects with students young and old. His patience, enthusiasm, and ability to break down techniques have made him an effective and inspiring coach.

As a competitor, Coach Louie has also proven himself on the mats. He competed at the IBJJF Nationals as a blue belt and earned a gold medal, showcasing his commitment, skill, and competitive spirit.

Now at Checkmat Menifee, he is excited to continue advancing in his own training while helping others grow on their Jiu Jitsu journey. He looks forward to developing further as both a coach and a competitor and contributing to the strength and unity of the Checkmat Menifee team.
